Century of Progress | Departures

The Indiana Dunes National Park is the home of five houses featured in the 1933 “Century of Progress” Chicago World’s Fair. The fair offered millions of people a hopeful vision of the future – featuring technological advances like central air and dishwashers. After the fair, the houses were transported across Lake Michigan and reassembled along the shore in Indiana.
